Vampire 600 V1: Smell the rubber
Posted on Monday, May 27 2013 @ 12:44:15 CDT by majsta

After adding proper SDRAM chip it was only matter of time when complete design will show much higher performance. Again want to thank robinson5 for much effort for guiding me thru many problems. I must say that after he open sourced his work my job was done. Only thing I needed to do is to compare signals and track his codes. In this article I will add more information's about what's done here but now I m so tired of work that I just don't have strength to do it.

Another successful step I guess? Congratulations! The SysInfo benchmark looks very cool, is the system really that fast? Did you try some heavy load, like compressing/decompressing big LHA archive?

Your progress makes me thinking of reviving my old FPGA project, a Zorro III memory board I put aside in 2010 :)

I know about your project and you shouldn't give up any Amiga related projects.

I didn't try any other testings of the system just SysInfo because I didn't have the time and those are not final performance just one step to it :)

Congratulations!
This is the biggest news for the classics and definitely for the A600 in years. Very impressive achievement :)
